****Canada's SchoolNet

**Pacific Bell's Wired Learning in the Classroom & Library (doesn't seem to load in Mac Netscape but works in Mac Internet Explorer!!) and Bellsouth Education Gateway

**Discovery Channel School This site is a wonderful resource accompanying the Discovery Channel. There are features, theme weeks, web links, discussions, and lesson plans. Part of the Discovery Channel School is Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators - great source for teacher resources

**WebTeacher this resource includes an internet tutorial, extensive browser tutorial, and information on image, sound and movie formats.

Engines for Education - this is a hyperbook written by Roger Schank and Chip Cleary about educational reform and the part educational technology has to play in reform.

The Annenberg CPB Projects Exhibits Collection This is a wonderful collection of exhibits on various topics. The exhibits all utilize interactivity to a great degree.

¥Middleweb.com has a large number of links. Most of them are professional development sites, although there is a General Resources section which is a rich source of links for your lesson.

¥The Busy Teachers' Web site also features a large number of resources.

SESD Teacher Resources - this site includes links to WebQuests, Keypals, Internet Projects and Scavenger hunts, Virtual Tours and Assessment.

¥Links for K12 Teachers on the Memphis City Schools server has a large number of resources, including most of those in this list of resources

¥A Catalog of a Catalog of Web Sites for teachers provides short list of starting points for exploration broken down by subject matter discipline.

¥Needle in A CyberStack contains There are currently 83 interlinked pages including Safe Surfing Sites, Books & Book Reviews, 24 alphabetized Business and Career Tools Pages, the Best of Curriculum, 24 alphabetized Medical and Scholarly Research Pages, Reference, Law & Justice, Cybrarians' Favorites, Intelligence & Security, Law Enforcement, Exploring, What's Cool, Fun, People Finders, News Sources, etc.

EDES 501: Using the Internet to Engage Children in Constructivist Learning - this class outline contains links to various resources such as webquests, inquiry based sites and also contains teacher tools and readings. Taught by Dr. Susan E. Gibson, University of Alberta.

¥Corrina Perrone, David Clark, and Alexander Repenning.  Substantiating Education in Edutainment through Interactive Learning Games.  This paper presents WebQuest, a system combining the WWW with the notion of an interactive quest game. Instead of just creating their own homepages, that may be interesting to other students for only social reasons, students turn into authors of their own interactive quest games.

¥Filamentality is a fill-in-the-blank interactive Web site that guides you through picking a topic, searching the Web, gathering good Internet sites, and turning Web resources into activities appropriate for learners. So it helps you combine the Filaments of the Web with a learner's mentality (get it?). Support is built in through Mentality Tips, so you'll be guided right along the way and end up with a Web-based activity you can share with others even if you don't know anything about HTML, Web servers, or all that www-dot stuff.
