What to do next

The resources related to the analysis and design stage were selected to provide you with an orientation to the fundamental considerations involved in designing and developing distributed learning environments. This information will form the practical and theoretical foundation for activities related to the other stages.

A good place to start is with the resources listed under Instructional Issues. These resources provide information as well as hyperlinks to a number of sites that will provide you with an understanding of the pedagogical issues related to designing a distributed learning environment.

Creating a technology-enabled course is often a resource intensive enterprise. The more technology you incorporate in a course, the more important it is for you to consider how to manage your project so that the production process is as efficient as possible. Read Design Documents: Blueprints for Success for a summary of the project management process related to this stage.

When you have completed studying the resources related to this stage, you should be able to complete the Instructional Analysis Worksheet found on the Project Management menu for this stage.
