3. Will any instructional strategy do?

When planning to teach any course, you must consider a number of factors. If you incorporate technology into your teaching, the factors you must consider expand dramatically. Questions to answer include:

• What teaching strategies have been found effective for this subject area?

• Which strategies will be most effective with your target population?

• How will you engage your students and keep them motivated?

• Which instructional strategies take best advantage of the opportunities afforded by new media?

• What administrative support will be required?
